Crystal balls, also known as scrying balls, are the most popular tool used in divination. The shape of the crystal ball makes it easier to scry quicker and more effectively, which is good for people who are complete beginners.  You can certainly use other surfaces, but we recommend using a clear crystal ball if you aren’t well-versed in the art of scrying.
